Life guard Training Certification Class

The Department of Parks, Buildings & Recreation Management  willl offer the next Lifeguarding class during November, 2008.  Please call Stacey to sign up at 787-6298.


Learn To Swim Classes

The Department of Parks, Buildings and Recreation Management will offer another Fall Learn to Swim program in December.  The class is for all children and adults ages 5 and up.  The fee is $50 per participant for a 2 week swim session.  Pre-registration required.  Class size is limited.

DATE:  Monday, December 1 - Friday, December 12 (Monday to Friday)                     TIMES:  Beginner:  5:30 pm - 6:15 pm, Intermediate:  6:15 pm - 7:00 pm, Advanced:  7:00 pm - 7:45 pm, Adult:  7:45 pm - 8:30 pm

Course levels and times may vary depending on participation sign ups.

LOCATION:  Central High School, 1840 Roosevelt Ave.

Water Safety Instructor Course

Attendance at and active participation in all sessions is required; there is also a written exam at the end of the program.  Lesson plans and block plans must be completed and submitted for review by the WSIT. 

We need a minimum of 6 people to sign up to run a class.  Please call Stacey to sign up if you are interested at 413-787-6298

Class Fee is $150 per participant

 

 


Lifeguard Instructor Course

Current certification as a lifeguard is required for entry into this program. 

We need more applicants to be able to run this class.  A minimum of 6 people are required to run this class.  Please call to sign up if you are interested.

Fee: $150 includes course materials and certification
