Evening Activities for Kids
The Springfield Department of Parks, Buildings and Recreation Management is pleased to announce that the evening recreation program has begun. The program is offered at the following six schools - Chestnut Accelerated, Milton Bradley, Kennedy, Van Sickle, Kiley and Forest Park. The program began on Monday, October 23rd and will run through June 3rd. The program is free and open to City children and youth between the ages of 7 – 15 years of age. The days and hours of operation differ by school and are listed below: Chestnut Accelerated Middle School and Milton Bradley | Mon.–Thurs. | 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. | Kennedy Middle School | Mon. – Fri. | 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. | Van Sickle and Kiley Middle Schools | Fri. – Sun. | 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. | Forest Park Middle School | Mon.– Wed. | 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. |
Parents and/or legal guardians must complete the registration form, which requires both a health history and parental permission to participate.
